Even the typical worst-case scenario — a black picture with the maximum brightness in a dark room — is no problem for the panel and you get a very uniform result.
We could not determine annoying PWM flickering. Apple did not make any compromises in regard to the panel and still uses a high-quality IPS screen. It is probably the same or a very similar model from the predecessor; at least the similar measurement results suggest that. The rich black value of just 0. Still, there won't be a big subjective difference with such high results.
